Is Kua HR really free?

Yes, Kua HR is 100% free for payroll processing. We only charge a small 0.75% fee when you fund your company wallet. There are no monthly fees, no per-employee charges, and no hidden costs.

Kua HR is a complete HR platform that includes: Automated payroll processing, Employee management and database, Employee onboarding and offboarding, Leave management (annual, sick, maternity), Performance appraisals and reviews, Salary advance (EWA) at zero cost to your company, Tax compliance and reporting, and Analytics and reporting.

What countries do you support?

Currently, Kua HR is optimized for Nigeria with full compliance for Nigeria Tax Act 2025. We're expanding to other African countries including Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. Contact us if you need support for a specific country.

How long does payroll processing take?

Once you fund your wallet, payroll processing and employee payments are completed in seconds. The entire process from calculation to bank transfer typically takes less than 5 minutes for companies of any size.

Pricing & Fees

How does the 0.75% wallet funding fee work?

We only charge a 0.75% fee when you fund your company wallet. For example, if you fund ₦1,000,000, the fee is ₦7,500. Once funded, you can process unlimited payroll runs at no additional cost. There are no monthly fees, no per-employee charges, and no transaction fees for payroll disbursements.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Our pricing is completely transparent. The only fee is the 0.75% wallet funding fee. Everything else - payroll processing, employee management, leave tracking, performance appraisals, and salary advance - is completely free.

Do you charge per employee?

No. We don't charge per employee, per payroll run, or per month. You can have 10 employees or 10,000 employees - payroll processing is always free.

Salary Advance

How does salary advance work? Does it cost the company anything?

Salary advance (Earned Wage Access) allows employees to access their earned salary before payday. The best part? It costs your company absolutely nothing. Kua HR and our partners handle all funding and risk. You simply enable the feature - no setup fees, no monthly charges, and no financial liability.

What is earned wage access (EWA)?

Earned Wage Access (EWA) allows employees to withdraw money they've already earned before their scheduled payday. It's not a loan - it's their own money, just accessed early. Employees pay a small flat fee (₦100) per withdrawal, and your company pays nothing.

Is salary advance risky for companies?

No. There is zero risk to your company. Kua HR and our partners handle all funding, collections, and risk management. Your company has no financial liability, no impact on cash flow, and no changes to your payroll process.

How do employees access salary advance?

Employees can request salary advance through their self-service portal. The process is fully automated - no HR intervention needed. Employees simply request the amount they need, and funds are transferred to their bank account instantly.

How does employee onboarding work?

Kua HR provides a complete onboarding workflow. You can create custom onboarding checklists, assign tasks, collect employee documents, set up salary structures, and automate welcome emails. New employees can complete their profile and documentation through the self-service portal.

Can I manage employee leave requests?

Yes. Kua HR includes comprehensive leave management. You can set up leave policies (annual, sick, maternity, etc.), employees can request leave through the portal, managers can approve or reject requests, and the system automatically tracks leave balances and allocations.

How do performance appraisals work?

Kua HR supports multiple performance review formats including annual appraisals, 360-degree feedback, and continuous performance management. You can set goals, track progress, conduct reviews, and generate performance reports. The system supports customizable review templates and workflows.

Can I import employee data from Excel?

Yes. Kua HR supports bulk import of employee data from Excel files. You can import employee information, salary structures, and other data to quickly set up your employee database.

Do you support multiple currencies?

Currently, Kua HR supports Nigerian Naira (₦) with full compliance for Nigeria's tax system. Multi-currency support for other African countries is coming soon.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Kua HR uses bank-grade security measures including 256-bit encryption, secure cloud infrastructure, regular security audits, and strict access controls. We are fully compliant with Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and GDPR standards.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure with regular backups. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your sensitive HR and payroll information.

Are you compliant with Nigeria tax laws?

Yes. Kua HR is fully compliant with Nigeria Tax Act 2025. Our system automatically calculates PAYE, Pension (8%), NHF (2.5%), and other statutory deductions according to current Nigerian tax laws. We also generate FIRS and LIRS-ready reports.

What banks do you integrate with?

Kua HR integrates with all major Nigerian banks for instant salary disbursements. Payments are processed through our secure banking infrastructure, ensuring reliable and fast transfers to employee bank accounts.

How long does setup take?

You can get started in minutes. Simply create an account, add your company information, fund your wallet, and add employees. Most companies are up and running within 5 minutes. For larger organizations, our team can assist with bulk data import and setup.

Do you provide training?

Yes. We provide comprehensive documentation, video tutorials, and can arrange training sessions for your HR team. Our support team is also available to help with any questions.

Can I customize leave policies?

Yes. You can create custom leave policies for different employee types, set accrual rates, define approval workflows, and configure leave balances according to your company's requirements.

How does offboarding work?
